Was given a 2 dozen of Double Red Riding Hood tulip bulbs, just finished their blooming.
What is the advise how to store and care for the bulbs, before the Fall (Aug/Sep) when I would plant them?
Keep in the sun, the dark, in a paper bag, in the basement?
Appreciate some advise on this.
How to care for tulip bulbs between now & Fall planting time
Hi hburry,
Here are a couple of links that might be helpful, one is just on storing tulips and the other talks about storing plus it has other info on planting, care, etc.
Each one shows a different method for storing the bulbs. You might find one or the other more convenient.

Thanks. I had them outside drying out in the sun, but it rained before I got them, so now I have them inside on towels in front of the living room window, waiting for the sun to shine tomorrow.
Step 1, dry them out!
Well...at least they're nice and clean now. They should still be okay. Anyway it will be a fun experiment and the Red Riding Hood Tulips are very pretty. They're a 'Greigii' Tulip and the striped foliage is beautiful.
You didn't mention if they were blooming when you got them, but here's some info on regular Red Riding Hood (not the double-type) from Brent & Becky's Bulbs. You can learn a lot about different varieties from their website with no obligation to buy anything. You can access them from DG GardenWatchdog and if you ever did ever decide to order from them, they're a DG "Top 5" company for bulbs.
