Broccoli plants

Swansea, SC(Zone 8b)

Help! some small striped worm/pest is eating holes in the Broccoli plants. They have infested three plants already. Water spray and insecticidal soap did not kill them. I find them on the undersides of the leaves. They are also leaving small black gooey droppings on the stems and ribs within the plants. What can I do to eradicate them. Does anyone have any organic solutions?
I'd appreciate your help.

Thuricide and Dipel are both organic controls for worms--

Contra Costa County, CA(Zone 9b)

Ditto.
Spray these on all the related plants:
Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Kale, Brussels Sprouts, Mustard, Chinese Cabbage (several sorts).

Hummelstown, PA(Zone 6b)

Imported cabbage moth and cabbage looper are the two main lepidopteran culprits. Up here farther north they tend to be problems with fall seeded crucifers as well as flea beetles.

What did you apply? Is it working?
