Lily leaves: the color of watermelon rinds

Lady's Island, SC(Zone 8b)

For some reason unknown to me, many of my Lily leaves look more like the color of watermelon rinds, rather than just plain ole green. Any idea what the issue might be?

I agree with the mottling on the leaves, how old are the bulbs, have you grown them in that place before, are they otherwise healthy, have they grown and flowered in previous years OK.all that info would help.

Maybe they are in the wrong soil, like MOST Lily's normally like humus rich soil NOT too acidic, or too wet but with good light.

Can you get back to us SavvyDaze with a bit more info regarding the history of the Lily's.
Maybe more folks will be able to get back to you with more help.
Best Regards. WeeNel.

This is the 3rd year for my lilies. They have always bloomed nicely and the foliage has always been green. The lilies pictured above and one I have growing in a pot are the ones with this problem. Other than the discoloration on the leaves, the lilies are growing great. The rest of my lilies planted elsewhere around the yard are doing fine and have no leaf discoloration.

I do have lilies planted about 3 feet from the one in the picture, and they do not have this leaf discoloration...

It could be lily symptomless virus (LSV). It affects the leaves and nothing else.
