I recently planted Super Sugar Snap Peas, and the first pods are growing. Being that I have never grown them before, I do not know when to harvest them. Could somebody fill me on please?
Sugar Snap Pea Harvesting
Snap one off and eat it right there! That always tells me. Then I just stand there and graze, lol.
Pod should be slightly round. Peas inside should be about half the size of what you planted.
They will be sweet when small.
The pods turn a greenish-yellow when ripe. They swell up and get round.
smaller = more tender and sweeter
medium-length = I like this
bigger ... eventually they get tough and starchy.
