I have 2 hazelnut trees which have got very long and leggy. We only moved here at the start of summer, and I got good nuts from the fruiter tree (the other is the pollinator) and I want to know when to prune and how much I can take off (1/2, 2/3)??
If anyone can connect me to a visual guide that would be wonderful

The UC Davis site has a lot of info like this. Not sure what is there about Hazelnuts.

this one is specifically about hazelnuts.
