So a couple of months ago i stumbled across these native alpine strawberries growing in a heavily shaded area of my yard (i had thought that the mock strawberries had all taken over and choked them out), so i thought i would dig them out of the dense red clay soil that we have here, and put them into a container of potting mix with a little bit of compost mixed in. as you can see in the second photo, they responded quite well to that, however the flowers, after losing the petals, are still not in the process of producing any fruits, i looked inside one of them, and can still see the dried up pollen stamen, but thats about it, no swelling up fruit buds or anything. am i just needing a bit more patience, or did moving them forfeit the fruiting for this year?
Strawberries, flowered, but no fruit developing?
