No problem!
Spring blooms May 2014
Glad that that came through.
Love the cherry. It is a wonderful memorial tree. I just gave a friend an Abies concolor 'blue cloak' since her father passed away and that is what she selected. I'm keeping it in my collection in pots until it gets larger. It's nice to enjoy your tree right away.
They say the Yaku hybrids aren't very winter hardy, but both of mine pulled through too, even as we lost several other plants, noticably four boxwoods.
Good news about your cherry trees, Marilyn.
Plenty of color at my place, not a lot of blooms yet beyond Daffs and other earlies, but lots of buds. Tulip linifolia started last weekend, planted last fall by the new stone path. I hoped it would bloom with the Quince, turns out to be a little later but didn't completely miss it.
Along with my things from Southampton storage came some decidedly English garden accents. Quite a shift in the general mood of the place, don't you think? I'm getting used to it...
I had a Capistrano that didn't make it thru it's first winter :(
Do you have deer? Brave to plant the tulips. Wish we could try more.
Pam, I can't believe how much you've accomplished in just a few years....gardens look wonderful....Rosemary, love those tulips as well as the other blooms!
You have to come visit! Hopefully there'll be a lot more to see very soon!
Rosemary--iris show at the Harvey Wheeler building in concord on Monday. doors open at 1pm. I bet that no one has tall bearded plants this time.
That soapwort is so cute!
Deer here? I see them around the area but I haven't had any evidence of them in our yard
I will, Pam, but you'll have to come here as well!
It's a deal!
I'll bring a notebook.
certainly a camera as well.
Wow!! Everything looks so beautiful, I'm sorrier than ever that I can't join in and see it for real!
gorgeous as always!
quite pretty. I'm glad that you grow the I.cristata. they like shade.
Thanks! For a sunny garden, we have lots of shade, especially closer to the house. The iris has made itself quite comfortable here.
Gardens are looking really nice, Bill & Pam!
Looks like he's got lots of nice spaces where he can lurk, AliKat. Does he love to run out and surprise you sometimes? That's what mine does when he's not trying out any hole I've started.
He sure is a cutie....nice when you have help in the gardens! Warming up in Greenfield? I just came back from West Leb.......
love it! I presume it's a magnet for the good insects, too.
Hope so!
Oh -- your verbascum is awesome! Mine has tons of leaves on it....can't wait for it to bloom!
Ethan loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks...he always protects me from them. I love when he gets playful and runs around the yard in giant circles while I chase him in the middle....such a cutie! I have to be careful tho because last year we saw a bobcat twice in the yard....so scary since he's a little peanut that the bobcat would think of as a delicious appetizer!
I figured out the pics...now they should be going in the right direction!
OK - Ethan the right way! He's sitting in my bowl garden by the driveway....pretty open there for him to watch for the bad squirrels!
The bowl gardens....we terraced the hill next to the circular driveway a few years ago....now I have too many gardens to keep up with but it's super pretty!
A box baby turtle (my pinkie for size) was on my step...the step is several times taller than that turtle - I have no idea how he made it up there. I picked him up and hid him in the tall yellow loosestrife....now he has a fighting chance of making it!
My bleeding hearts....they are so pretty this time of year! It is getting warmer - very humid today and breezy - I'll totally take the wind....kept the bugs away for most of the day!
Last but not least -- my blueberry tart iris....the first iris to bloom this year! Yeah - it must mean its getting warmer!
Lovely blooms everybody!!
oooo, love that Percy Wiseman!
WOW - what beauties those rhodies are!!
