Help? Any advice appreciated

These plants keep coming up and die rather quickly. I have fed them regularly.

They look very like what we here in UK call Elephant's Ears, they come in different shaped leaf and colours but are all the same family as far as I know,
They are indoor plant here and I have grown them in my greenhouse then was able to put them out for summer once all danger of frost or real cold was past.

You either need to water them more, stop feeding till you know they are doing well, maybe split up the clumps of roots to allow for room to grow.

The small green nodules coming up from the soil at the sides of the older stems are new plants (offspring from the parents) this indicates to me the plants are healthy, doing what they should and regardless of the type of plant by name, they look fine to me, maybe suffering (at foliage) from drop in night temps or lack of water, these are ferocious drinkers as they have lots of fleshy leaves and stems, also the Rhizome /tuber is very fleshy too. These small leaves are what would be called immature and where room is provided at the base, the foliage will grow huge, beautiful and very tropical, I love growing the Banana plant with the red foliage beside these, but mine are in pots sunk into the ground.

Hope someone else can help you better than I have.
Good luck and kind regards.

They look too crowded and not enough fertilizer.
I would divide them and prepare the new soil with plenty of compost. As soon as some new growth starts fertilize them with a diluted solution of fish emulsion, compost tea or other mild, slow release fertilizer. Keep on feeding them through about mid summer, maybe a bit later. Then stop so they do not put on too much new growth just to be hit by frost. These slow release fertilizers will see them through the rest of the summer, then be used up by fall.
