I rescued this guy from Lowes for 1$. I got him about 3 weeks ago. First thing I did was get him into some fresh soil as a good portion was missing, then I wicked him to drink to his hearts content. The root ball looked more healthy then the three poor leaves left. He must be doing something, his leaves move every night and he's drinking plenty of water. I wonder and wonder how long it will take to see some new growth. Anyone want to take a guess?
Poor poor Calathea
Warm temperatures and sunlight along with your watering system will eventually stimulate new growth. Anything yet?
He is doing great now! I am always watching him, he has two brand new leaves....that are just gorgeous and one tiny one just poking up. I am hoping I get a flower out of him this year, would make it great! I hope to see him get nice and bushy..I was still surprised to see how fast he started to recoup.
That's a great success story.
