Blue Holly (Ilex spp?) for colder climates?

Hi All,

We took a risk and planted a "Blue Prince" Holly next to a "Blue Princess" last summer. They took hold beautifully, but we had an extremely severe winter in S. Wisconsin. We live in a borderland between Zone 4 and Zone 5, and my beautiful hollies appear to have taken it badly. There is not much green on either one and my husband thinks' they're dead. He's probably right.

Any advice on varieties that can withstand colder winters? I adore blue hollies but they are a bit tender. Do you know any vendors of these hardier plants?

It just won't be Xmas without them. Please advise.
