Can I plant okra near onions?

I did it last year and I had no problems.
My okra plants grew 10'-12'.
I will do it again this year because I have a small garden and that is the only spot left for okra.

Thank you for replying. I had planted my onions in a different area this year without realizing it wasn't good to put onions near green beans or peas. Thus, I will plant my okra near my onions.
