Can we put down grass seed now in PA?

My husband just put down some grass seed. Is it still too cold or when is the best time to start doing this?

Grass that grows in cooler climates may very well work if seeded now. I assume there is no snow on the ground, and no more expected.
At worst, if a late storm dumps more snow you will have to reseed.

Hi,

Grass seed is the best planted before or after summer. Because it's almost impossible to keep new seed moist in the summer without nearly constant watering.
