I think my basil plant may have mold and may be affecting the green bell pepper plant next to it since it shows some darkening at the end of the leaf. Should I be worried?
P.S. don't mind the piece of lettuce that fell off the other plant.lol
basil mold?
I would consider thrips, as the cause of the deformed leaves. Have you had low temps near frost? The pepper plant looks like it may have gotten too cold.
purpleinopp,
Thanks for your reply!
It did get cold about a week ago out of nowhere and I did my best to cover them up but you may be right. what do you suggest I do if it is thrips?
I would get new plants if nature doesn't provide a solution in the form of a predator bug, or hope that with better weather the plants may grow out of it. There's no chemicals out there I want to eat, though there are some that claim to be safe on edibles. If you want something like that, someone should know a name to suggest.
Try to take your plants a little bit more under the sun and by a special liquid. When I had such problems, my friend-florists from Megaflowers advised me to do that. And both advises helped me, so try it :)
