Hello,
I have a Christmas cactus that I've had for about 5 years. It's a good size and blooms well, but I've noticed on some of the leaves, that the edges turn a translucent light brown.. and break off. The entire leaf, itself, doesn't break off.. just the edge. It's almost like the green disappears, and becomes translucent. Why does that happen? What causes that? Thank you for your help.
Christmas cactus leaf..light brown translucent edges?
A photo would help. How much light does it get?
Sounds like overwatering. May also b time to divide and repot as it may gave hv outgrown pot. Ease up on watering the newly planted
I grow mine in orchid bark. They seem to love it.
Sounds like a combination of too small a pot and too much water.
Thank you, everyone, for your answers and help. I put the plant into a larger pot, moved it where it's getting bright, filtered morning light. It's doing well now. Sorry for not seeing your responses sooner, and thank you again.
