Can anyone identify this problem with apples please, location Spain.
Apples, black spots and rot inside of apple.
Looks like either bitter rot (Colletotrichum) or Black rot (Botyosphaeria) or white rot. Do you have a clearer picture?
Hi drobarr. The photos are from a friend who has not got any clearer photos or apples at the moment. I will have a look at bitter and black rot, thanks for your help.
Regardless of which disease it is they are all controlled similarly...either with copper and seranade organically or fungicides like captan or mancozeb applied regularly after fruit set.
Thanks drobarr for your help. I will pass your fungicide advice to my friend.
