I had a lovely Lilac and a Plumbago side by side. Within a couple of week leaves went brown and crisp.
Something went down the center core of tree (see photos) Any idea what it might be. Watering is not a problem
thanks so much
Dead Lilac & Plumbago - what?
Bump...can anyone help Jennie diagnose her plant problem?
There is a lilac Borer

but I can't say if that's the cause here. It would not cause the Plumbago to fail at the same time. I think the shrub would die branch by branch, not all at once.
I am on the other side of the continent so I don't know if my experience is the same and it is not very extensive in any case, with those two plants. My Plumbago (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides) grows in a spot thats pretty moist and about zone 7 full sun.
