3rd time trying to ask this, grrrrrr. Butterfly forum came up with cross striped cabbage worm-Evergestis rimosalis. Colors are wrong, orange belly, black and white stripes, white dots- acts like an armyworm, eating the parsley leaf, stem, only thing I have planted that resembles cabbages are my collards. Does anyone recognize this? BugFiles has no pics I can use.
id on soon to be moth
You were right to question that ID. I'm pretty sure you have Phosphila turbulenta there.
yup, apparently I tossed it into the parsley when pulling smilax vines down. chuckle- one of the folks in Tx Forum found it fast for me
