Slow loading DG

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

Working well today here too. =)

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

So far so good this morning. Hope it stays that way.

(Pam) Warren, CT(Zone 5b)

Yesterday was so slow I gave up several times and tried again later. Finally got on the main thread I wanted late last night, but didn't have the patience to look at other favorites. This morning also, very slow. All other sites are normal, just DG is a problem. I hope this improves!

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

Very slow for me, too. It has been slow for a while now, but the past week or so it has been maddeningly so. I've gotten accustomed to having to click on things on DG 3-5 times before I actually get there, but lately I'm lucky if I get a page to load in 10 tries. Very slow. So slow that I have to go to another browser and do something else while I wait.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Horribly slow for me too. I thought it may have something to do with photos but this thread doesn't have any and it took a long time to come up.

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

I would leave a post but I died waiting for it to come up!

(Pam) Warren, CT(Zone 5b)

Very odd.. . For the last few days I have noticed that DG was loading much more quickly. Today it is back to pokey. I wonder why?

Powder Springs, GA(Zone 7b)

ditto

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Same here.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Quote from Gymgirl :
I thought it was just my system here. But, yes, the forums are noticeably slow in loading up today...

Thanks!

Me, too! Thanks!

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7a)

Pokey for me today too. It was better a few days ago.

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

Yup, was very slow for me also yesterday; not just forums pages, but ALL pages (including Watchdog)... this morning, so far so good.

The Gremlins must be working on things behind the scenes... that's my guess anyway. ;)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Quite perky this morning. Hope it lasts.....

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

We are taking a look at some things that may be affecting the speed - I promise we all want it to be zippy...and zippier :-)

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

Thank you for the heads up Zippy. =)

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

"Zippy" - I like the sound of that....

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

It has been fast (zippy) for me so far today! (I wasn't online yesterday at all.)
I like this much, much better. Kudos to those who figured out ways to speed things up!

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Wish we could take credit but I haven't heard anything yet that suggests we've found and fixed the problem. It does seem intermittent, so enjoy the zippiness and bear with us if it slows down again. They are working to locate whatever is causing the drag.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Thank you for listening. It is appreciated. (Still super-slow for me.)

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

12 seconds just to load this page.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

I have been waiting over an hour for a d-mail to send.....

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Mine loading about as fast as I can click on it.
I think it's a local server problem.
We have a wireless with the tower only 2 miles from us. I think it gets over used at times because everything will be slow, not just DG.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Now it's down to 2 seconds!

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Loading quickly here.

Somewhere in, MD(Zone 7b)

I am finding the problem to be intermittent as well. Not sure if it's a server issue here; it occurs at random times of the day, and in any sort of weather. (implying that, it's not happening more if the weather's bad and more people are home from work/school).

Time will tell... thank you Zippy for keeping us posted, and for caring. :)

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7a)

I too find the slowness issue to be intermittent. Yesterday DG often just
took forever to load although every other site snapped in quickly.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

I only find threads that are very, very long will load a bit slowly. Everything else seems fine.

mid central, FL(Zone 9a)

took 19 seconds just now to open this thread. the past week has been really, really slow. i realize in the grand scheme of things, 19 seconds is nothing, but it is worth noting that there must be a problem somewhere on dg.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

I opened this thread it a wink. Click, it was up.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

8 seconds here.

mid central, FL(Zone 9a)

running a lot faster today.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

This one OK, others slow...
