I live in the Yukon, Canada. I have 2 lavenders in pots. We have little daylight during December and part of January. Do lavenders require dormancy? Should I cover them and keep them cool until late January/early February like I do with miniature roses? I am trying to grow choice plants in containers but am not knowledgeable about dormancy; I find the subject a bit confusing.
