help needed for brown spots on unripe cherry tomato.

dubai, United Arab Emirates

Hi, I got this plant from a nursery a few weeks back. Seemed to eb growing fine but suddenly the leaves start to wilt everytime I put it in the sun or water it. Not sure whats the problem. I've placed it inside now. But now I see a new problem. There are brown spots under one of the tomatoes. Any idea whats happening?

I think it would be too hot for the tomato plant to thrive outside in the soaring heat you experience in Dubai, I can only hazard a guess re the brown marking on the Tomato is caused by either too much water or too little, maybe even not watering regular time and the plant wilts in between watering.

There are diseases called Blossom End Rot and when it does strike, you normally notice the foliage wilts also, I would remove the damaged tomato's and do a thorough watering regime, either late evening, or early morning, you need to make sure the soil in the pot gets really wet BUT, any excess water left in the tray / saucer, should be removed after half an hour as if the plant is left sitting in water, more problems will show up, any dead / dying foliage should be cut away or pulled off and burned, this allows light and air to circulate the whole plant and this should also help the fruits to ripen for you as they will get the heat needed but not sunburn.

Hope this helps a little and perhaps someone else will get back to you with further help. hope so after growing the plants to maturity.
Kindest Regards.
WeeNel.
