I like plain donuts too Jaye!
Yummm, potato soup sounds good. Do you make it with bacon?
Sweet Interruptions. Rm: 272
I think so Marion. Bones are still a little sore, but I think it is from the misty damp weather we have.
Why don't we have the Sistah's gather in Houston next year? We would be in so much trouble at the show for 3 days!
They don't serve alcohol, but I could get a huge cooler and keep it in my truck!
I want tater soup. every scool here in this area is on locdown, while police look for an armed man that robbed a wman by gunpoint,
That's not good. Sending prayers.
Oh no, I so hate to hear anything like that!
Glad to see you pop in, Cody. don't be a stranger.
Off to Lisa's for Thanksgiving as usual. I was one lucky lady when she decided she wanted to do that holiday from now on. She's great at it, too. Always uses a fresh turkey. Only thing she doesn't do well is the stuffing and she just doesn't like it. Think I'll insist I bring it this year! I usually bring a salad and a dessert, or whatever else she asks me to bring. Yum....need turkey NOW!
Garden club tonight. We're making "Porch Pots". They'll start out as Fall arrangements and then we'll switch the Fall stuff to Winter stuff. Finally bulbs that we plant in the pots tonight will come up in Spring. Love a 3 season craft!
You know were going to want to see those pots!!!
yes,take pix.
Okay, getting my camera right now so I don't forget!
Cookie, how lucky! All you have to worry about is eat and maybe, a couple of side dishes..
You've earned the 'retirement' sistah.
No gardening club around here, nor in the next county where I can improve on my brown thumbs. Take pictures Cookie.
Marion, praying here that Sue's tests will turn out okay.
We shan't ask you to take pictures of your reunion, but we know you'd be having fun.
No bacon, LK.
I'm like a mad scientist when it comes to cooking with what I have in the pantry!!!
Didn't have any whole potatoes, cream nor bacon but the pot of Jaye's EZ potato soup turns out good.
I used a pound of Jimmy Dean's sausage. Brown that first with the some leeks (that I have, fresh), including some of the green parts.
Add water. Since I ran out of chicken stock, I used a packet of onion soup mix. Let it boil.
Now for the 'potatoes', I added 2 packets of Idahoan Buttery Style Instant mash potatoes :D
Stir well, bring the temp to mid.
Don't feel like baking biscuits, so I tore small pieces of Pillsbury biscuits into the soup. Once they float, I simmer for 10 more minutes. Can you say potato soup and dumplings?
The end result is oh so good!! Kel had 3 bowls!!
Hi Jaye, thanks!!! I am getting older to.Alex is going through a tough time right now.He has a mild conductive hearing loss in his left ear.It can be fixed and we are working on that.So i have been just focusing on him.
Yeah he is ready for christmas.
Hi Joycet, thanks!!! I am glad that i popped in too.Enjoy your day!!!
Cody
Soup sounds good. 3 bowls? Kel must not have eaten in days. ..
Cody we are all doing well here. Thanks.
So sorry to read of Alex' hearing issue. I know he'd have the best doctors to help him with that.. You're a good mama Cody!
Lolol LK!! It's your fault, he wants his sweets first!! The sweets ran out so now all he has left is real food!
Just like my grandkids.
You didn't know you have a 47 year old grandson eh?
Well, spent time at the ER again last evening. We got home about 11 pm. It was dark and we were pooped.
((((((((((((Carole & DH)))))))))))))))))))
Hope all is fine now.
Thanks, Jaye. It was a rough day. Today is somewhat better but we are still tired. God is faithful!
"When everything seems impossible, know that God has already made it possible; it's just a matter of time until you are led to the door of possibility.
Trust Him"
I just posted that on my FaceBook page, Carole.
Yes, He is faithful.

very well said sis jaye
My brother is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30. I would be with SIL, but her son took the day off work so he can be with her. Bro doesn't want a lot of people in the waiting room. Told him I have a lot of people praying for him. My SIL said he is in a good mood. first surgery for him. I'll be at home praying and waiting for "good news". I've done my share of sitting in a waiting room.
We will be praying to Pegi!
Carole, praying for you guys too!
Sending my prayers too Pegi. And for you and DH Carole. And for Alex and all others in need. I think we all need them lately so how about starting Wed prayer night up again? 9pm eastern okay? If it is any later, I'd most likely be asleep!!!!

Absolutely Barb! We have gotten away from a communal prayer night and I for one will be deliriously happy to agree to return to it. Prayers are so effective. More so if we all do it together.
Matthew 18:20
" For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
None are pressed to do this, of course, you can pray whenever you want or if the time isn't to your advantage, Lord doesn't have a time preference.
Returning to a Wednesday prayer hour, I think Susan and sistah Judy are in agreement too, will just help sustain our hopes and faith.
Cody, we'll add Alex to our prayers.
((((((((((Pegi))))))))))))))) You are right, we'll be praying for good news for your BIL.
FIL has his days. After the visit, he perked up a bit. Still retains fluid in his lower extremities.
Kel said FIL's trying to be brave, but he's been 'seeing' Leslie, his middle son, his departed favorite brother and his late mother. Could be the morphine.
He's reminded daily that you all are praying for him.
Poor man wouldn't know whether his old church is doing likewise, as MIL changed her phone number, again. (Fifth time, I think) So my sistahs and his immediate family (not including BIL, who's an atheist) are the only prayer warriors that he knew of.
I go to church tonite and will be praying. cody I wll add alex to my prayer list, andeveryone else who need prayers. sisters we pray at 7:30 central, so maybe we can all pray together
no thanks needed cody
that will be fine Sis Kathy.
Your 7.30 is 8.30 for some of us.
We're always here for you Cody. The address remains the same.
Sweet Interruptions, General Discussion & Chat c/o DavesGarden!

Was anxious in making sure the time is right for my first sistahs prayers, and when 8.30 shows on my digital clock, the phone rang.
Ex asked for prayers for his older sister who caught a stroke. Left her speechless and not able to move her legs.
Divine intervention?
Went straight to prayers after the call. Yes Barb, knowing there are sistahs taking this task upon themselves again, there is strength in numbers, right?
Prayers said for everyone, I mean EVERYONE that frequents this room, including the missing ones, Lanakila, Judy, Susan and Karen too. Plus families. I try to be specific with each, but sistahs with no pressing requests, I ask for God's generous blessings for you.
LK, I even include Heather besides your siblings.
Thank you so much for this. I am so glad for this privilege restored.
I've never followed the CMA awards for years Sue. Just get Tim a gift certificate to one of those gadget catalogues http://www.sharperimage.com/si/view/category/Gifts-For-Him/100001?mainCatId=&sitelinks=GiftsForHim&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&utm_campaign=Branded&Keyword=sharper%20image&cm_mmc=CPC-_-Google-_-Branded-_-sharper%20image&network=g&matchtype=e&device=c&adpos=1t1&creative=24593776823&gclid=CPSC_YTT0boCFUyd4Aod0isA3g
Men like toys!!
Gonna heat up supper. Cooked a big pot of beef and sausage jambalaya this afternoon. Have enough for tomorrow too!
Thanks for the prayers Jaye.
I am off to say mine for all of you.
My brother came through the surgery just fine. He will be in the hospital until Friday or Saturday. He will have to do chemo later. Grateful for prayers. His name is Byron, but we have always called him Bud. Thank God there are so many prayers warriors out there.
