Hello, my mom bought me a Kalanchoe about a week ago, I didnt' knew what's the name of it until i googled. The problem is now the flower looks unhealthy not like the first time my mom brought it to my home. i kept it indoor with air conditioned room until I left it outside in the shed the whole day yesterday as i understand that kalanchoes need enough sunlight, and i haven't water it since i got it, and by the end of the day i found out the flowers withered, so i decided to water it, then i just cut the withered ones but still it looks unhealthy unlike before,i've tried to search about it but failed to find anything.. :( really clueless about Kalanchoes.. so can anybody tell me whats wrong with it and what i have to do to save the flowers??
Just for your information, i live in Brunei, we only have sunny and rainy seasons, so we dont have 4 seasons like winter or spring.
below is the picture before and after i left it outside.. i'm sorry for the tilted pictures
My Kalanchoes flower looks unhealthy and withered
People will say these are meant to be discarded after flowering, but I disagree. They are given some kind of chemical that makes them bloom profusely but they can outgrow it to be a fine plant, going on to bloom again when they are ready. Maybe the flowers were sunburned? Each individual flower doesn't last long, but a succession of them should open along the stems until the tips are finished. It looks like there are more buds that haven't opened yet.
I've had some luck encouraging secondary flower stems if I trimmed the old ones as soon as they looked finished, though the plants may have been planning to do that anyway, IDK. This succulent doesn't seem to appreciate getting as dry as most others I have.
No idea about its' blooming pattern in your climate, once it outgrows any chemicals given to manipulate its' blooms for sale.
