Carolyn..Have you down for JJs and also have Verbascum phoenicium (white or a mix of purple(lt and dark), pink (light and dark), 4 or 5 shades total.. V.b. is 18-24", blooms spring, cut back for a second set of blooms and may even get another (3rd) in late summer if deadheaded. Will reseed if allowed. I have several little colonies I'm allowing to grow. I picked the ripe seeds but just have to shake them out of their pods. Can be started indoors or insitu, (this fall). They get a long tap root, I sent them as trades but usually as young as possible. They develop a candlelabra type bloom, the more mature the more branching.
Just a few pix to whet our appetite..lol.
My wants...
Obliqua...if you have any more of the Laurentia...please and thankyou... and is it truely fragrant? Also would like Seaholly Big Blue and Delphinium white (is it Galahad?)

Fall Round Robin Seed Swap 2013 - Haves and Wants
Obliqua, I would love some seeds from the Calycanthus, please!
Alana
obliqua: if you have enough to share I'd like to try , Echinacea 'green jewel' & Foxglove 'Camelot mix'
MIPII : What color & how tall dose your caryopteris × clandonensis get ?
Thank you Kathy.
I had some of the yellow verbascum (it's name escapes me right now), but it was not a good gardening summer for me as I broke my foot - so I never took seeds from it, nor was I able to prune it back. My hope is that it did manage to seed itself.
Yes, oohlala Obliqua...if you have enough, please send:
Japanese maple seeds mix (waterfall and shiraz)
Calycanthus 'aphrodite'(white)
Franklinia alatamaha tree seeds
Magnolia 'yellow bird'
Sounds heavenly!
Susie, my caryopteris is purple/blue at 3' (sorry can't remember the cultivar).
i ALSO HAVE
FRAGRANCE OF ELEGANT EGG FLOWER OR I Think this is the name of it please tell me if i'm wrong been looking for the name of it also want to know how to collect the seeds from it do i let the seeds dry on the plant ?

TY ALANA

Mipii I would like to try a few seeds if you have extra
Susie,
Your flower looks like Layia platyglossa, Tidy Tips. The seeds will be in that yellow center, but it will have to be at least mostly brown before you will have ripe seeds.
Obliqua, I just walked down to the Paw Paw tree and picked up a couple of fruits for you. The seeds need to be planted when fresh, right now, preferably with the "goo" still on them. You can put them in large pots or if you have a place that you can keep animals from disturbing them, right into the earth. Treated this way some should sprout next spring. I can send them to you directly now if you like.
Sure Susie, I have plenty, I'll set a package aside for you.
Alana, can you share a few more seeds for Paw Paw? As I was looking into purchasing some seeds for Obliqua, I thought they sounded yummy and wouldn't mind some myself. Do you like the fruit?
Iowhen, I have viola tricolor if you're interested.
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/78231/
Yes, Mipii, I can. Is your address in the exchange?
People stop here to pick up Paw Paws because they like them. Most of them are gone now, but there are a few on the ground. Me, not so much. The flavor is fine, but the consistency is not pleasing to me. They are festooned with Tiger Swallowtails in late spring/early summer, and that is plenty of reason to have them for me.
Great Alana, you have a DMail! Do you or anyone else want Magnolia kobus - same deal; they need to be sown fresh.
Thanks for the tip on the paw paw seeds. On of court's coworkers sent three fruits home to me. Two are still on the shelf turning to mush. I'll get them into pots outside over winter if that's what they need to sprout.
£az£o, I'm setting aside some packets for you:
Hardy Hibiscus ~ Hibiscus moscheutos 'Mighty Big Pink'
Dwarf Plumbago ~ Ceratostigma plumbaginoides
If you can spare a few of these seeds, it would be greatly appreciated:
Sweet Shrub ~ Calycanthus floridusi
Wow, can you grow cool things in your zone...I'm SO tempted.
Robin
Mipii, yes please! I love all the violas.
I am adding County Fair cucumbers (wilt resistant!)
Sweet Joe Pye Weed
Joe Pye Weed "variegatum"
Calendula "apricot nana"
Laz - I'd love some of your Leonotis menthifolia (I grow both the perennial and the tall annual and love them) and the Eucomis.
I have a bag with Asclepias physocarpa (hairy balls) and Lophospermum erubescens (creeping gloxinia) that has your name on it.
Lana - Have you tried sedum album as a groundcover? I love it as it really does "cover" the ground and need very little tending to. If you are interested I can send you box of cuttings in spring.
Will anyone be interested in Japanese morning glories? Some named some crosses.
Ronnie -
do you have any pictures or names? I have to ask because I don't know the difference between the Japanese MG's and the others. ^_^
Yes Carolyn I have plenty of pictures!
Japanese MGs are usually the bigger flowered nils in many colors and varieties. I.purpurea are the more common ones like "Milky way and Granpa Otts", and such. I do have some unusual purpurea too.

Well i "HAD" Nicotine Drying in a paper bag in the cold frame went to town yesterday to get some straw & the kids were helping burn brush & Leaves well my misstake asking them to burn the bag of trash in there they took the wrong bag RRRRR It is Pouring rain today so in a day or 2 when the weather drys out i will go out to the compost pile & see if i can salvage more seeds .
Looks as most of us are haven wet weather.
Sure, Susie, I have enough to spread around :-)
Amanda, do you have any Salvia Coral Nymph left?
Yes Pam, I have oodles. :)
Yay!
I had better reserve my have/want space before this thread gets too much longer. I will fill it out later, but as a preview I have mostly vegetables, especially tomatoes, and almost all of the seeds are commercial. I may try to harvest some zinnias and marigolds, since they're easy for the inexperienced (me).
HAVES:
(later)
WANTS (so far):
pansies/violas
marigolds, french (can never have too many)
Does anyone have Amsonia seeds?
My package was sent off a few hours ago, should arrive by Friday.
Nis...I did have some extra packets of JJs in the mix, might ask to have one labeled for you if you like.
Pam, glad you made it back...... Can I have: white Lupine, white Cosmos Psyche, white Zinnia, and some more Ceratothica, PLEASE....THANKYOU! lol. (Send me D-mail how long you'll be there...thanx).
Hi All! It is sunny today and I will be collecting more seeds. I have added a few more to the "haves" list, right under Lazlo's huge list.
Lazlo ~ I would LOVE to have any viable seeds from the chocolate cosmos. It used to be a seed-grown plant many years ago. I have this plant and I will try many ways to try and germinate the seeds. They are quite late to bloom...actually they are in bloom now. I hope to collect them before the snow flies...
Pam ~ If you have any white lupine left, I would love to have some. I have collected some seeds from my pale pink one...I will see if they are ready yet. Nope, I need to take them out of their pods...I'll let you know if you want some.

:)
OK, Evelyn, I have a few seeds left of the white, will package them up for you. What's nice about the Gallery series is that they bloom the first year from seed if started early.
Thank you, Pam! ^_^
I just collected some more seeds. I hope they dry in time. If not, I can send them later to any individuals that may want them.
Greek Oregano
English Lavender
Montauk Daisy
Boltonia asteroides 'Snowbank'
Aster 'Bill's Tall Blue'
I do not know if the aster would cross with one another or not, as I have some short asters growing as well, but I did not collect any seed from them. So I cannot guarantee that it will be the tall blue.
OK ~ Just remember, they are not ready yet...and another thing....that oregano is VERY flavorful...so if you like anything Italian in the way of cooking this will put your dish "over the top"!!!
