Betty,
Do you have the Victorian Santas still available also?
Patti
7th Annual DG Christmas Workshop!!!! General Chat
Victorian Santa fabric Rose?? Yes, I will post to and you can tell me how many so I can include in the kit
Have everything I need now so tomorrow I will be up and at it.
Got a kick out of the men at the saw mill..each and every year as they custom cut some of the wood to size in appreciation the piece I work on to show you all how it's done I bring to their shop and they have a draw...today when I picked up the wood they wanted to kow what they would win, could I not make more than one..did I have a hoot?? Lol
Sat here this evening and made all the shoe bows, one less thing to do
Tempted to go downstairs and podgy the mdf 1/4 inch slab with fabric so n the morning I can give it another coat..
Am I too tired, hmmm not sure
Love the snowman fabric - neato!
went with it Dianne..
gave a coat of podgy to the wood, set the fabric and made sure there were no wrinkles
then gave it another coat...
Will dry clear and HARD, hopefully in the morning I can trace the 3D part of the scarf
Won't do them all as some may want to paint theirs
Tired tonight, will count snowmen instead of sheep
let's hope it works lol
Morning
hopefully I'll have snowmen chillin here tonight
Seeing you are not here for the fun day of cutting I'll post as I go through my day so it will be for you as though you are here helping..
not so sure about the ties, will continue cutting snowmen then decide later, no sense cutting them all out only to find it's not what we want
That looks good.
sawdust all over..now I really wish you were all here to help me dust once the projects are cut lol
Ohhh. how cute. Did you use a scroll saw to cut him out??? That is one on the few power tools I donot have. Almost bought one a couple of months ago. Was on clearance at Home Depo for $60.00. But we had other more important things to get, so I passed it up. I seriously regret that one. Sigh....
band saw for the larger cuts then scroll saw.
may I offer you a suggestion Elf, do not buy one unless it's the heavier duty saw..I bought a commercial scroll saw ONLY because it has the easy blade replacement units..the others would drive me to drink trying to set it in properly.
I've 13 cut, snowman body/arms..feet and dowels will have to wait until tomorrow..don't want to be cutting on a band saw when you are tired..ooops there goes a finger
Only me in the house so I'll just close room with tools and keep dusting/sweeping until all is done
Love that snowman.
He is adorable Betty. This is going to be fun!!!!!
I'm looking forward to doing him again as well!
taking a bath then will trace shoes
with craft show next Saturday and then a 65th Sat. evening and then an afternoon gathering on Sunday it doesn't leave a lot of time for cutting..feel I'm well ahead of the game..if I can get everything together ready for packaging and I don't get time tomorrow I'll have next week in the evenings
then Buffalo the following weekend
ohhh in my unpacking totes found some deer placemats..now who could have gifted me those Barb??
Morning everyone..
Elf, Dewalt is the brand name, it the large throat commercial saw..my second one..1st one I did so much on it I burnt the main unit..satisfied so bought the same 2nd time around!
well I've 25 snowmen waiting for shoes, having coffee while I trace the shoes..hoping to have all cut by daybreak
Kitties woke me early this a.m.
guess they knew I had things to do lol
Time to slow down a bit Betty!!! Can you work evenings and still get them done? I hate seeing you push like this when I know you are hurting.
Could you take a picture of the placemats you mentioned as coming from me? I have made so many, I can't remember!!!!
Just looked at the other thread with pictures and if you are talking about the placemats with the moose - I didn't make those! Don't know who did.....

Lol. Came to mind they were deer
Must be LindaKay then
Actually Barb, I've really enjoyed this weekend, haven't worked hard nor pushed myself
I cut, sit, play, decorate at my leisure..
If I had to say a perfect weekend this one would be it
it stopped raining, made my way to back shed for another xmas tote, opened a box and found
A Miss Prissy deer, just so adorable, believe it came from Liz..
I said to myself 'self, why didn't you mark down the name of the gift item and who gave it to you'
Seems I've the loveliest snow globe, could have also came from Liz
Year after year I get more Christmas decorations, just need to keep track!
Likely it was in Liz's box

Yes Betty, marking them would make it easier and even more cherished by you I'm sure. Those snowmen are SOoooooo cute and tempting but I'm telling myself NO, no, no. I'll just have to see what you come up with next year.
I am curious to see how your going to package these wood pieces for mailing!
You know me LindaKay, queen of masking tape. Lol
Family still visiting?
PLEASE. If I've missed your name in the first thread above please let me know
Don't want to miss anyone
Yes I still have family here. Andy is cooking pork marsala for dinner. It dufe smells good.
Betty if it is not too late I would love to make a snowman. Don't know how I could have missed the thread?????
Putting your name Thnder
Made extra
Barb, LindaKay and Susan got your envelopes today
Spent the day high fever, was in bed at 5:20pm
Just got up for honey and neocitrin
Neuralgia, even my teeth hurt and I don't have teeth
Back to bed I go
And if you still feel bad in the morning - stay home in bed!!!! You push too hard sometimes and then pay so dearly later......We love you Betty and only want you to get well.....
can swallow this morning
as for the shoulder/neck pain see my doctor Thursday
came in, can always go home if I feel bad
think going to bed at 5:30 and took meds it did me the world of good
so I'm up and running
even brought the wine glass shade in with me, thought of an easy way of decorating
so will do one up after I have my trusted Timmie's coffee!
Don't over do it Betty!
Betty, that is beautiful!
Betty, I looked up prices from Buffalo, NY. To my zip and this is the price I got for shipping for a 18x13x3, 3 pound package. Much cheaper this way. Especially if you can print online postage.
Post Office Price: $14.05
Online Price: $11.16
