7th Annual DG Christmas Workshop!!!! General Chat
Can't wait to see what we're working on.
I keep wanting to hit the "Like" button !!!
lol
guess I better hurry and head for the back shed
Nobody but nobody should have 26 totes, 2 boxes of Christmas treasures and a corner of primitive pieces..went through as best I could but couldn't find the snowman without emptying each bin.
Rita who is staying with me for a bit did the piece years ago so she is looking on her computer...
I will try looking again tomorrow night
Trust me though he's cute
Oh Barb I am so happy to read Sean still wants to join Grammy in the craft. Woo hoo!
I'll mail the money on Monday Betty. I don't want a letter sitting in a Canada Post office over a weekend. lol Wonder why?
Dianne
Spoke to the young man who guaranteese me nothing will be sent back while I'm away..here is hoping.
Rita sent me a photo from here files but for the life of me I can't seem to save it..gives me no option..I'll be in tote boxes tonight if I can't lol
That is cute!
Too cute, how tall is it?
I made a fence post scarecrow many years ago that was cute too. I gave it to my daughter and it was stolen off her porch.
maybe a tad over 2'
his shoes are 3" thick so he stands well on his own

Oh, I love that snowman! Can't wait to do it. I have to wait till I get paid on the 1st to send money!
not a problem Julie...
My $ will be in the mail on Monday....
Betty, will that fit in a flat rate box?
I'm not sure LindaKay..have to get the sizes and prices of medium/large flat rate box..
the post office attendant one year was so kind, recommended that I wrap the package, he would give me price on mailing and depending on the price have a second label made, if more than flat rate then put pkg in the flat rate box, if cheaper mail without flat rate.
Although his body is less than 1" thick, his shoes are about 1 1/2-3" and his body is made of MDF so quite heavy..

NOTES:
This snowman project is called:
SENT FROM HEAVEN, ONE FLAKE AT A TIME
In the box I will include:
wood project pieces
graphite paper (for tracing pattern)
tracing pattern
wire to attach arms to body
pair of felt socks -decorative felt
either raffio or small twine for hanging signs and decorate shoes
looking for set of small pod which has 6 colors in it for painting scarf
*** the longer part of scarf is dimentional and gets glued on afterwards
hoping to find checkeerboard stencil at a Dollar Store
Still checking entire kit cost to see if I can send the off white/black/brown paint needed to paint him that a ????
I will add from time to time what supplies you may need and checking what you may have for the project!!
YOU WILL NEED:
If you don't feel confident enough to use a small liner to make lines and paint wording
it would be good to have a permanent fine tip marker..keyword PERMANENT so it doesn't
run..one should be enough
old toothbrush to splatter light snow on the piece when finished
toothpicks
Betty, I have paints here!
that will help then, it's not so much $$$ as I can get the large off white and black from $$ Store but its the bulk for shipping
I have paints also....
thanks..but do you have off white for the body?
If I don't, I'll find it or make it!!!!
marked you both above stating you have paints..will help out a lot
actually he's one of my favorite pieces
Linda and a few girls have been calling, all looking to do their annual christmas craft, have to check which days I have available and think I'd do this project as well
Bessie, I have paints too....And if my white isn't just right, I can add a tad bit of brown and mix well. It gives it the antique look.
Bessie appreciates it Debbie lol
To quote our Debbie "I have paints too Bessie"
Dianne
