I bought a tiny jade succulent from a box in Walgreens that was sadly planted in a bunch of glued rocks. I'm trying to get it out of the glued rocks it was planted into. Also, it has become a bit wrinkled and dull the past couple days. Is this from overwatering or because of the awful thing it was planted into? Thanks!
Help on how to transplant succulent out of glued rocks
More than likely. I hate those glued rocks. They don't give the plant room to grow, hold too much water and are almost impossible to remove.
You could try researching how to cut if out and root it. I know it can be done but am unsure of the process.
Good luck!
I take it the rocks are glued together and to the glass "container." I'd be real tempted to get violent with it. With long pants and sleeves, gloves and eye and face protection I'd turn it on edge and smack it with a hammer. Covering it with a rag first might be a good idea. It would stop a lot of flying glass and rocks.
Can I glue some rocks in the shoes of the genius that thought that up and then glue his feet into them too.

I have purchased a number of plants with this situation from clearance at Lowes and was able to find some edge where removal could be started - then removed small sections at a time without damage to plant.
Can't understand how anybody that grows plants could do this rock/glue thing.
Glue in shoes is an interesting idea.
I like Doug's idea. Rocks glued in the shoes sounds like a great idea!
Can we think of a similar solution for people who keep spreading the rumor that 'fish only grow to the size of the container' then sell a fish that can reach 2' long for a 10 gallon tank?
Jade plants can be grown from cuttings, as easy as falling off a log.
An individual leaf will grow, or a short piece of branch, like the amount that is growing above the glued mass. Just cut it off and put it in a really good draining soil, perhaps labeled for cactus, or a regular potting soil, but add sand for better drainage.
It is good if the cutting stays not planted for a few hours, in a mild, dry place. The cut part will form a skin, or callous that will reduce the amount of possible disease organisms entering, and help it root better.
Wrinkled leaves may be from over watering, or from under watering.

That one is easy. Lock in a used porta-a-potty, stuff food through window. Once a month take them out hose out porta-a-potty, hose them off and repeat.

That's good to know. I've always liked the looks of a jade plant but for some reason have never bought one.
How long have you had this plant? I bought a cactus dish that had glued rocks, and over the cours of a month or so, the glue washed off, as that was what is was meant to do.
