white circular spots and browning leaves that fall off

Cincinnati, OH

I have a Jade Snap Bean Bush and a Bush Crop F1 cucumber plant that I am growing in containers indoors. The green bean appears to be almost dead, and the cucumber appears to be following. The plants are getting white circular spots and browning leaves that fall off. The few green beans that developed also have the same issue. Any idea what is happening? :-)

The beans look very much like mite damage on the leaves.

The cucumbers have powdery mildew.

Thank you, drobarr. From what I have read so far, it looks like a chlorothalonil fungacide for the powdery mildew, and for the mites maybe a Rotenone insecticide. Any other suggestions?

Todd,

If you are growing these plants indoors I am not sure you want to go wiith the chlorothalonil. It would be very effective if applied on a 7-10 schedule but I am not sure you want that stuff in your house. You could try something like Serenade, which is an organically approved product you can usally but in a box store. For mites I'd use Neem oil.

John
