I have had my Burro's Tail plant for a long time.
It grows lengthwise but never gets full near the soil
line. Do I need to repot it in a bigger pot? How
can I propogate this plant other than taking the
small tales off the stem and trying to get them to
grow? thanks
Help need for Burro's Tail
Burros Tails generally do not branch out very well.
Each individual leaf can grow, it just takes time. I would detach perhaps a dozen leaves and put them in a small pot with some sandy soil like cactus mix. A little bit of rooting hormone might speed things up.
When several have grown decent roots and are growing new stems and leaves you can repot the old one, and add the new ones in. A really dense Burros Tail might be grown in a 6" to 8" pot and have many plants in the pot.
