Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Meant to tease you about the picture you posted, Betty....doesn't look like Greb to me... ^_^

Victoria Harbour, ON

So laughing, no not Greb at all,

Stomach has been off since this morning, mind can't get away from what turns out to be a 15 year old girl killed this morning

How many times to we send off the kids never expecting a call such as this..heart is with those parents.

Sorry to hear that Betty! The parents must be devastated? Sending prayers!

Witness's say the vehicle was going much too fast, lordy that is all we've heard this past weekend was 'watch your speed', 'kids need you to be alert'

Looking at the clock, will leave 5 or so minutes early..lady at Juanita's Sew and Serge said if I get there by 5:20 she'll wait for me to deliver my machine..at least that is a start..spoke softly..maybe that will help!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good luck Betty.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lordy am I glad I didn't lose my cool and was sweet as can be..

Lady's name is Lee, we chatted for full 1/2 hr after I got there, just before I left she asked if I was related to Tuddy Bylow, yes, sous in..she said that is my MIL' I'm married to Butch.

Told her butch came to mom's 80th here two years ago, she said each time I'd been in she meant to ask. Still think she knows me vis resemblance to my mom

Here is hoping something can be fixed. Did say even had there been lint last time is wouldn't affect turning on/off

She plugged it in, power very week, wouldn't turn even the screen on. Also I showed her where the light is how the plastic is yellow, said I should never have gotten a floor model as replacement in March.

Too tired to even warm up stew which I've plenty.

Stopped at Walmart and bought new slipper, bottoms having a grip..the slippers I bough several months ago are those flip flop types, almost tripped a few times going downstairs..thought I best get ones that fit properly as not to break my neck

Owner Juanita will be in tomorrow, likely send it right to the factor..we'll see

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Small world Betty. Sure hope they treat you right this time.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just hope it won't take months, need those quilt tops done.

Got a call re interest in the counters. Called number they left but no answer, left message..friends of Paul's

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - quilts - I would have to say 3, 1, 2, as Joyce did
ink on the quilt? I'd be livid.......
Seems I'm just hearing about that lemon sewing machine of urs.... u paid HOW MUCH for it? could make a lemon meringue pie out of it......
Mary - prayers are with you
Cookie - WTG on the ribbons!!

Sorry if I missed anyone.
Work's going well - today we got asked to help "lessen the queue" of problems they have, so we pitched in..... not as much "brain ache" as last week........

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Might be a bit late for this but hair spray will usually remove ball point ink. A trick we used in the clothing dept. at Sears all the time.

Morning all,

Hate the nights you dream all night, feel like I could crawl back into bed.

Susan, machine was slightly over $1,000 then add shipping cost by plane, shipping cost by UPS, lack of having a machine for almost 9 months that I've owned it, THEY SHOULD give me another machine. Doubt that is going to happen but a working machine would be good.

Thanks for comments on Sharon's quilts..told her votes came in for hers.

I'll let her know Karen about the hairspray..

Good luck "M" with the surgeon, great report you got last yesterday..
laughing at the kitties, Missy seems out of sorts, lays outside on footstool and not interested in coming in except to eat!

Hello.

I'm here, swimming in very deep waters!! OMG, I dunno what I've gotten myself into!
I just keep prayer relief will come soon. Just 2 of us with very little time in between of getting things done. The store should hold a record for walk in customers, who just can't wait till tomorrow or the next, not trues , have some. I've been pulling 12-14 hour days, that doesn't even add my home work time...lol, not that much of that has gotten done either, oh well at least im sorta keeping up with the laundry. In between i do try and get a few phone calls in, hands on the hips, that's why I'm in such "dodo". I have to keep remembering it WILL get better...I've actually been tossing some ideas around in my head, for something fun and different, well not so much but at least the medium is way different. Shhhh, not saying it too loud or it won't make it from the brain to physical reality! Hehe, but eye brows are raised with anticipation and excitement, LOL not to mention need a bit of time to gather materials... Went to the cottage a few times, just had to get rejudengized...which i very badly needed, after my whirlwind of learning e v e r y t h i n g, right now and deal with customers at every other breath. Well now that the Back to School is coming to a close, yep still have some last minute scraggle shoppers. You know what is absolutely hysterical? We have always been "those" shoppers, last minute i mean...hahaha, i used to think not every ones runs on Suter time, Well slap my face, seems there is a great amount of people exactly like us. Shake my head, I guess thats why they hone in on me with the big urgent, omg looks and just know i wont say No, alrighty then...

Well, anyway...I've been trying to lurk at whatever time of day or night. Just too exhausted to say anything, it would require finger movement and brain thought, somewhere in there i do remember to eat or have some water, lol of course i never forget Miller time and even that requires some added exercise of getting it, sigh no rest for this wicked sistah!

As everyday, Ann and the Babies are in my thoughts and prayers, I am so glad to see they are making some good progress..
OMG! Betty, Take that piece @!##$# back and demand a new one and full refund, add up all the expense shipping and don't forget gas of driving the thing around both the US and Canada for crying out loud, that machine has been on more trips then me, Geese don't forget to take it on a train and a boat, oh ROFLOL but i I guess it's on the slowest boat ever to get fixed... I can't believe all the BS you are going through....OH my, yep the last quilt should surely be 1ST!! Good golly, not to mention the hours and hours of projects put on Hold, while waiting, grrrr!! Aren't you proud, i'm just plain mad, I think it time YOU get MAD too....Hahah, Betty, I didn't think that looked like any Greb, thinking about everyone at one time are ya? Awe, sounds like everyone is off to a great start of the school year!

Marion!! Saw somewhere Kims Burger cake!! it is spectacular, She really should tryout for Cake Boss.

Waiving hiya Mary, sending you some Armwraps in congratulations on the next move. Sounds like your doing tons of learning too, take a deep breath, soon it will all be just a great story to be told...

Oh man...got to run some errands, before work.

Hope you all enjoy the day! be back soon as i can.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Judy! Goodness your working too hard! 14 hour days are not good for you! Slow down, or your going to end up back in the hospital! Please take care!

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

YAHOOOOOOOOOoooooo .. great check up, saw the 'prosthetic device' 'fake hip, in the xray .. ewe ewe ewe HOW did he get that IN there through the wee incision I have ?? I do NOT want to know LoL (some nurse huh) !!!
I can now drive, AND, go back to swimming !! Very happy about those 2 things ..

Doesn't help with personal times and housework though..I so laughed when you said you thought everyone worked on 'Suter Time' smilling big time here..
How did rental of the summer home go this year? A lot of additional work for you?

Sure miss you and Debbie

"M" they've sure come a long way, who would have thought a decade ago that 'hip replacement' would be just so commonplace, not that it is for the individual!

Bet you are thrilled with the outcome..now you see the girls who had it that were encouraging you were right!! Wasn't it Katie who had the same?

mulege, Mexico

Mine was a knee which is now perfect. Too bad they can't so a full body and brain replacement. though I think that might also be called death so never mind.

hugs, katie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not sure why Katie the thought of a 'hip' came to me, knew very well it was a knee, shaking my head...wonderful that it's perfect, can't get better than that!

Has the weather improved for you? What do you and Tony have planned as your next project?

Opened my email this morning, and there was the Xray of my hip in all it's glory. The physiotherapist asked if I wanted it, I said 'sure', and she sent it to me via email .. gawd, before I didn't WANT to see it, now I can't stop looking at it in wonderment! Doubtless Gord will be wanting to frame it once he gets home and sees it !!

41F here this morning, I think I shoulda covered the Hibiscus and the Mandevilla .. will see later I guess, they were well watered yesterday ..

Hope everyone who is feeling 'off', starts to feel better, and everyone needing ENERGY and stamina gets it!
I'm one of the latter as I'm doing a SUPER WALLY WORLD trek today, looking for a new tablecloth prior to the company arriving .. need an OVAL one, have only been able to find round or rectangular, both of which have to be 'taped' up under the table as they're too long !

DinLaws friend, Michelle (brain aneurysm), will be taken off life support Friday :-(
The aneurysm is quite large and, inoperable .. so .. Murray is feeling at odds as he is working while Alison sits with the family .. this whole event AGAIN stresses to me the speed at which someones life can be changed. Michelle is 35, a Mom to Spencer, daughter, sister, best friend .. just way too sad ..
Prayers and thoughts appreciated ...

Sooooooooooo, hittin the shower

So sorry to hear that. Sending lots of prayers for the family.
My Mom had the same thing 7 years ago.she had a massive brain aneurysm Mothers day and passed away the next day.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending my prayers "M" as well. These things are so sad to hear....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

So sorry to hear about your friend being taken off life support. I know that is not an easy decision. Prayers.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all

"M" how tragic for that family..so very young, just no words, sending prayers for all!
Darlene's DH and her dad passed from same, here one sec and gone the next.
Teaches us I guess to make the most of every day.

My table "M" is oval and I just can't find a table cloth, either round or square. Let me know if you find one.

Stayed up late last night, had last batch of chili to jar..ended up 3 quarts and 6 pints, best I hide them before Greg sees them. Thinking of looking for baby beets to pickle and maybe some cuc's..bought everything I need to make crab apple jam tomorrow..thoughts are to make a few christmas baskets with preserves, know Jim my stepfather would love it as would the boys.

While tomato chili sauce was brewing I managed to finish to pumpkin throw..

Took a few photo's this a.m. gardens are almost finished for this year..fall in the air
know that the next weekend I have free I must start winterizing, close in back deck, clear a lot of the shrubs around one of the ponds..so overgrown as you can see...

along the fencing between me and side neighbor, only side I see is well covered in these yellow daisy type flowers..they grow about 6 to 10' and need no support..great for hidding things..need to pull them away from the pond though

Making note to self...purchase 3 or 4 more carpet roses, they were spectacular this year and are still blooming, me who couldn't grow a rose..love them

Beautiful gardens Betty, shame the season goes by so quickly!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Betty and M, oval clothes are hard to find here also. I have an oval table and have on occasion had to make mine. We can't be the only 3 that has oval tables so why are they so hard to find?

My carpet roses are doing well also. Counted 9 blooms on one the other day.....definitely plan to add some more to my area as soon as they are available again.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I had carpet roses down state, just loved them. Got my beets done a while back. Hubby will eat pickled beets every day. I go to local farm market and ask for a bushel of small beets and he calls me when he has them picked. He's also pretty generous about sharing the beets so we make lots. He does the peeling and slicing except for the littlest ones we do whole, I make the brine from my grandmothers recipe. Yummy good but I can only have a wee taste once in a while, something else that doesn't like me.
We are heading back to MI tomorrow A.M. Greats here are already sad about it although I told them from the beginning when we had to go. So going to miss all the extra loving I get here. I wasn't very smart, we plan on stopping down state to go to grandsons football game and I'm worried I'll not have warm enough clothes. I packed for TN heat not fall cool silly I. Guess I'll pick up a sweatshirt somewhere and a pair of jeans.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Karen, that's what I want, baby beets so now's the time to buy them..rather pay more for small ones than have the large ones I have to slice...kids put an order in for mustard beans as well..if I don't move on that one I'll be too late. Guess I'll be going to the market tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry you couldn't stay longer..know Tennessee is where your heart is now.

Marion, this is your first year for carpet roses right?

Paul has appointment waiting for him and he's late..will have to point my finger

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

All this talk about beets....love them but we don't have them as available to can. See them every now and then in the store so usually buy fresh ones and cook for us.

Yes, this is the first year for my roses. Planted last year so they were more or less just there but the past few days they have started putting out buds and blooming. Mine are pink and apricot colored....love them for sure.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Think you get a lot of bang for your daughter

SIL, boss wife came in this morning, asked where she could sit waiting for him to be done, told her she could une my sewing room. (small meeting room). Lol

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I don't get charged any more for the small beets, guess because I'm a good customer.

Oh gosh I sure know better but looked at a house down here. We've been curios about it for some time but never saw anyone there until this week someone was mowing. We stopped and turned out it was the owner. He's not sure yet if they want to sell. Does construction and bought to rehab. It's a very old house but built like a brick...you know. Plus what he has done is very well done. He let us go through and we told him at the moment we can't do anything until ours sells. He and his wife are going to talk it over and let us know. It has such wonderful woodwork and the floors and stairs are such thick oak that there isn't a squeak anywhere.
