Gee, I never win anything. Much less first. What a treat! I love lilies and am happy to add another one to my collection. Since its name is lost, this one will be known as Lilium 'Mittsy'.
:)
Beautiful! I had meant to add that I will send some seeds for the New Bees giveaway. I give away seeds on the Seed Trading forum but somehow have never been over here.
What is the middle photo?
The middle is a Lily I will check the tag when I go out!!
Huzzah!
Way to go Carole. I guess when you snooze you lose! Since no body else showed up and you and I are the only ones here, I was happy to let you have it. :D
xox
I have just the place of honor for it. :)
It's lovely!
The box will be mailed on Monday. Found a few things on your want list so might get a few surprises, too.
Wow, thanks, Mittsy.
:)
The box has left my hands and is now enroute to the winner.
I am gathering Hollyhock seeds, (single pale pink and double white) can someone jump in here and let me know how long they need to be in the freezer to kill off any little hitch hikers?
Velvet leaf or Mallow...
Had not thought to say It could be a baby Sycamore tree ....lol

OK, a week it is. I don't recognize your leaf
It does like the leaf of one of the Mallows.
Yes It does look like a Mallow leaf but dont Mallow flowers grow on top of the leaves?
What flowers ? what color are they ?
Velvet leaf
Velvetleaf (Abutilon theophrastii) -
Hmm I wonder where I got that!!! Is it hardy to my zone even?
Wow it's edible!! http://www.eattheweeds.com/velvet-leaf-fiber-and-food/
Considered to be a noxious , annual weed ,,
So is my stinging nettle , considered to be that kind of weed , but I still like it for tea ..
How did us modern peoples decide all this anyway?
Hmmm now I'm wondering about Mallow seed treats ,..lol?
Yes it says the seeds are edible of this one!! I use every scridge of my nettles for something!! Scridge is that a word...?I use mallow too in my tea just wasnt familiar with this one I will be trying it through:) Thank you
Good work, ju. Nettle tea - good stuff.
Thank you C_ville !!! Congrats on your prize puzzle solving too!!!
Scridge? I've heard that in an story someplace ,, You spoke it so a word I guess it must be.
So many plants and so many thought to be something other than they are ..
You named that so fast maybe you will know these too!! I have one more!!
#1 Artemesia
#2Basil
#3 Tickseed ?
#4Acalypha rhomboidea or A. virginica
Like this? I dont think Basil though it seem to be a native plant the one with the purple flower is native too.
Prize hmm let me think!! Seeds of any of the plants identified? Or some of whatever I make with them if they turn out to be herbal !! And usable!!

indian Tobacco (Lobelia inflata)
Family: Campanulaceae (Bluebell)
Location: NATIVE Allegheny Highlands Trail

Keep looking! No to basil. Is there a prize?
YOU SURE, THE SECOND, FIRST Group sure looks like a Lime Basil just starting to bloom , right time of year if it's recent ..
Blooms do suggest a mint , lemon perhaps , back when there are more bloom

Well, here is the contest prize from mittsy!! It turned out to be a box full of things. So much ... the daylilies, several irises, Rose of Sharon, toad lily, sedum, some herbs, and four baggies full of seeds of various kinds. (The candle and coconut oil are mine.) :)
mittsy, you blew me away!! Thank you so much for your generosity. :)
Wow, they don't look very fresh. My receipt says it was to be delivered Wed. Guess the 2 day priority is worthless.
