Can Dieffenbachia tolerate dry indoor air?

I have it on a pebble tray and I mist daily but i don't know if that will be enough. It's Dieffenbachia Camile btw.

I've not grown this specific cultivar, but I do grow Dieffenbachias indoors. They do well, especially with an occasional misting, and the pebble tray is a great idea. I don't have one under mine, but I think I'll make one up for it…May do even better. :-) Just be sure that it's getting bright indirect sunlight, and I'm sure it'll be fine.

In the winter the air in my home drops to about 10% humidity.

That's where the misting and pebble tray become a necessity. Summer and Winter are the hardest times for my houseplants too. First the A/C…Then the heat! It's surprising sometimes that they survive it, but they do!

Oh yeah, I failed to mention earlier that they don't care for 'drafty' conditions. Don't put it directly under an air vent…Ceiling fans don't seem to be a huge problem, but I have noticed that it doesn't much care for the A/C and heat vents.

Good luck with it!

Do pebble trays actually work? I've heard different things? Also I hope medium light is okay.

I'd say yes, they actually do help with the humidity level, so long as you maintain a bit of water amongst the pebbles. Don't fill the tray so much that the plant/pot is sitting in water though. The plant does benefit from the moisture as it evaporates into the surrounding air. Between the pebble tray, and the occasional misting, your Dieff' should be happy.

Light…"Medium" light level may be ok. From what I have read, when grown indoors…"Provide ample northern light, water when surface is dry, and turn the pot occasionally"…
