My young lilac tree (just planted in May) has developed mildew spots on a majority of its leaves. What would be the best way for me to treat this? If I remove every leaf with any mildew on it, then it will be largely defoliated.
Mildew on lilac tree leaves?
lilacs can be affected by either downy or powdery mildew. Since i see it on the upper surface of the leaf it is likely powdery mildew.
spray with copper on a 7 day interval for 2-3 applications and evalaute.
okay, thanks so much!
