First Pole Lima crop

This the first year I ever grew pole lima beans. I have some Dr. Martin seeds, they are big Lima's. I started 4 beans this Feb and planted them out in May. I planted around the T on the clothesline, so they would have some place to grow up, and they did. So to day I picked about 2 cups of shells about 1 cup of beans. steamed the beans 10 min. added butter, salt and pepper. Now they are gone!!! All the years I have been gardening, I never had fresh just picked Lima beans. Talk about teaching a old dog new tricks. I am counting down to next week, so I can have another batch to eat. Boy,this gardening tastes good.
