Kansas City, MO

i found out it is a mexican heather plant

Opp, AL(Zone 8b)

I've not heard of that being kept inside before. They are pretty though!

Kansas City, MO

for some reason my mexico heather plant dryed up and i watered it every day one i have looks good what could of i done to this one

Opp, AL(Zone 8b)

That's a fairly xeric plant, watering it every day is probably what killed it. When roots rot from too much moisture, they are unable to deliver moisture to the plant, and the effect is wilting and drying, which makes us humans think they need ANOTHER drink. A plant that lives in full sun in Mexico would have a hard time with reduced light inside as far north as MO also. They usually sell these every spring with the 'annuals' if you' like to replace it in the spring. I'd probably put it outside if that's an option for you.

The Mexican Heather I've always seen is a small landscaping shrub. I've always adored it! Too cool if it can live indoors!

Opp, AL(Zone 8b)

Yes, one that big would be hard to find up north, and expensive. When I lived in OH, they were a common annual, but very small plants. Trying to keep a full sun tropical plant alive indoors in north USA usually doesn't go well, but no reason to not try! That's what house plants are all about, preserving that which is not hardy where we are, though most of them tend to come from the shady jungle.
