Have an order coming this week from lazy ss farms. They recommend very acidic soil for this plant. I had the bed tested at 5.5. Any thoughts on compatability? I have the soil additives ready, if needed...
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't need a specific pH, it's quite tolerant of most soils and a wide pH range. pH 5.5 is fine.
Not sure why the nursery suggests and acid soil specifically, perhaps they are thinking as a woodland plant it might prefer acidic soil?
Mine has been in pots for a couple of years now, in neutral potting soil-- the same kind that turned my hydrangeas from blue to pink. I know it is also extensively planted in the ground in acid soil... Seems not to notice the difference.
