I just brought this plant home yesterday and it seems to have an aggressive pest on the underside of the leaves. I have treated it with insecticidal soap but I don't think it is effective and not slowing it down. I'm trying to identify what it might be and how best to treat it. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Thank you. Would you recommend treating it with rubbing alcohol on this type of plant?
Yes, target the pest, for example with alcohol on a Q-tip. Do not expose a lot of the plant to the alcohol. If you want to wipe the leaves with alcohol in hopes of killing crawlers, then I would rinse the leaves promptly.
You can also use NEEM oil. You may need to apply it a few times to get best results
Thank you everyone for your assistance. I still have a couple of plants under constant watch and several I have set to the side with a sigh of relief. I've used both methods and the little pests are persistant but I believe I am winning the battle. Learning lots thats for sure! Mahalo.
