My Stark Trees are BEAR of fruit, anyone had this with Stark

Rochester, MN

There are 28 trees on the property - all Stark's Dwarf Supreme. They were planted in 2008-2010, given their tree pellets, and fenced for rabbits. These are primarily peach, nectarine, apricot, paw-paw, and plum trees. I live in Minnesota (lower part of zone 4). All trees were rated for this zone.

These trees have been in the ground at least three - five years.
Each year - for the past 3 years, they have bloomed profusely, grown somewhat, and each year they have lost ALL their blooms and most of their leaves. This year several of the trees lost ALL their leaves. Has anyone ever had this happen with their Stark trees?

Considering the cost to set this up initially, I won't be replacing any.from Stark.
Does anyone have a idea what could have happened to two rows of trees?

wlj, you can't always trust the nurseries. They will tell you what you want to hear to sell their trees. I, too, live in a zone 4b area of Michigan. I tried a reliance peach and am experiencing the same results. After further investigation with the local extension agent, I'll be lucky to save my tree at all. He further recommended that I stay away from every variety you mentioned in your orchard except the most cold hardy of the plum. I know this is anything but music to your ears, sorry.

I hate to agree, I am in a 5b, with late frosts and am lucky to get fruit on hardy fruit like apples every 3 years. I have not even managed to keep my nectarine and peach trees from dying. I officially have stopped trying. I have had luck with fruit varieties from St. Lawrence nursery in Potsdam NY. I have there wild apricot and plums, I get them to fruit. I am so sorry those varieties are really frost tender, except the plum and pawpaw. I was getting leaf and blossom drop this year from red spider mites (thought it was frost damage). If you are interested I have done several years researching what will grow in my 110 day growing season.
