Doesn't look like any pepper I've ever seen. It doesn't look like any kind of solanum at all.

Looks rather like cannabis to me!

Do you have a bird feeder near by?

Boston, MA(Zone 6b)

Honeybee, LOL! I can tell you it ain't cannabis. ;)

If it flowers, it looks a bit like balsam. How tall is it?

Austin, TX

Agreed. That's no pepper. But balsam is a nice idea. If it's upright, with a main stalk, and it flowers long that stalk, you've got one.

Rabbit Cabbage?

It must be a very local to my area name. I can’t find anything on the Net. I peck in “rabbit cabbage” and get many pictures of mutilated cabbage heads and sated bunnies–Mr. McGregor and Peter all over again.

Rabbit Cabbage volunteers and will grow to about sternum high on a grown man. It makes a seed head, I think. I haven’t really closely observed it, but I will the next time I see it--that's what these web sites will do to you, make you lose a crop trying to gain Trivial Pursuit knowledge.

How old is the plant in the pic, rpm'? My curiosity is on the rise.

1', I liked your question on "a bird feeder near by".

Is that pigweed? NOT a pepper for sure!
