I planted a few strawberry plants hoping to get a good bunch for my kids.lve just learned they don't give as much fruit the first year as it would the second.Will I have a decent amount or is the first year slim pickings?

I'm not sure of when your strawberry season is in California, but I assume it's much earlier than ours and our season in the northeast is just about over.
