The pic shows the center of the flowers "oblong" instead of round. Only a few look like this. Is this common?
Common behavior with Black eyed Susans?
No, not common but it does happen sometimes that the centers are elongated rather than spherical. It would be interesting to know what causes the odd mutation. But I suppose it's like any other mutation - it just happens. :)
