My husband has been bitten by the flower bug!

Anderson, TX(Zone 8a)

Something has gotten into or ahold of my husband this year! He not only got me a greenhouse for Mother's Day, he's been busy building new flower beds, buying (on his own freewill) & planting flowers. He's done a pretty good job so far! I'm not complaining one bit, I love it!

Please !!!!! is he on drugs or has he been hit by a flying object or maybe he just had a brainwave, whatever, let me know so I can give, do or get my husband the treatment he needs ha, ha, ha, I have to admit my DH digs all the holes required just asks"how deep" and admires all the plantings, veg ect, but just to go out and do something as nice as your has a NO, NO, he would be worried he did it all wrong, Well that's his excuse ha, ha, ha, he is probably right.

I love the beds, you must be so proud of this new found hobby, just never tell him to to stop.
Best wishes to you both, I'm so envious but happy for you, who knows this might become an epidemic or infection of male helpfulness, ha, ha, ha.
Best Regards. WeeNel.

Ha!!! He is not on drugs, just still loves me after almost 23 years of marriage & 27 years together!

I have to admit, I did ask him earlier this year what had gotten into him, the quickly assured him that I was NOT complaining in the least bit!

With this hard Texas black land & the heat/humidity, thank GOD he has a tractor with a post hole digger for all the trees we've planted lately.

I'm trying really hard to get him to rub off on my bff's hubby (who is also his bff, if you would call it that with guys). It's not really working there, so I have to take them both by the hand at their house & use some "helpless female routine" to get stuff done there. ()

I am extremely proud of my hubby & his tolerance for all the things I bring home & volunteer him to do for me.

Bragging time...he has built a cucumber bed using his ingenuity & finished the raised be garden finished yesterday. I bought a mister for the greenhouse yesterday & by the time I got home from church today, it was already installed & working!

OMG, do you think you could rent him out, all that extra cash could buy you a hole heap of plants ha, ha, ha.

I think like my own husband, you wouldn't swap him for the world, sure you must be good to him too for a long lasting married life, goes both ways EH, OUR 50th anniversary is later this year, so we must be doing something right. Our kids are all grown up and married with lovely kids so our time is for us now, just the garden keeps you closer to home, Our winters are long and harsh so that's when we go off to warmer climates, now thinking of a visit to Turks & Caocus Islands as it shortens our winters, BUT a new Grandchild will be arriving August/ September so wont arrange anything till after baby has settled into that new world that lays ahead.

Have a great Gardening year and best Regards.
