Diesel loves Joplin. Maybe because both his breeder and I play her a lot. He will go and sit in front of the speakers when she is playing and just chill. He also loved Jeff Healey. Go figure... such a difference in style.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Yup...that is quite a leap from Joplin to Jeff Healey....GRIN

I just played the first cut and my cat ran down the hall. Now you need to understand - my Callie can't get out of her own way but she went flying!!!! What is up with this?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I reckon y'all have Northern cats....GRIN

Oh no! Sending prayers!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Update, Ann just got to the hospital, although she's not far along they have her in the operating room and will deliver the babies.. Dangerous for mom and children..this family sure could use prayers..

Yesterday morning Ann heard that Toby did not get good reports, will be operating and taking another tumor out and will then see what can be done..

Family sure has been through a lot these past 2 years..

Lyndonville, NY

Oh Betty, so so sad.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not being medically inclined I'm not so sure at this early stage if they could survive.. Guess she is 4 or 5 months..

Lyndonville, NY

At a minimum, she would need to be at least 26 weeks. There have been 24 week gestations survive, but with many problems.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Keep us posted Betty!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sending prayers for all Betty. Please keep us updated.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I was so hoping I was wrong about due date so called June, she confirmed due date is October, so that is not good.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

She is only 4 months along?

Glenview, IL

I am praying for Ann and Melissa and two precious babies.

Lyndonville, NY

No, this is not good...even if she was mid 5 months...it would be a big struggle for those little ones.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, 52F, winds blowing, about ready to rain..

Didn't sleep well last night, woke this mornimg with Ann and her family on my mind..hoping to hear news today! Thank you for the prayers, will pass them on.

Greg called last night to say they had been to counselling and that Noah would be going home as they have specific paths the counsellor wants them to take as a family..just not sure it's the right way..I'd have preferred a few night here and a few at home, gave them food for thought and that is the best I can do. Noah did not mention this last night, in fact he went to his room and within minutes was sound asleep. I cannot believe that you call his name in the mornimg and within a minute he is up and at at. Too funny, my room as a child was upstairs, grandma would call me, call again and again, I can remember putting my feet on the floor while semi laying on the bed pretending I was walking while shuffling my feel..who would have thought I'd become a morning person.

Off to make Noah breakfast then off

Gab in a bit

Lyndonville, NY

I was just going to say, and now look at you...you pop out of bed like its a toaster! LOL

I hope you got some rest. Maybe Noah doesn't want to go back home? Loves his grandma

Debbie

Just got a call from June, Ann called, knew I'd be in stransit so asked that she call everyone.

Ann spent all night in the hospital, they did 2 surgeries, not sure what one was but the 2nd one was sewing her cervix..the babies have strong hearts, she is in her 21st week, they will send her home tomorrow making sure someone is with her, she's not to get up for any reason (not sure about washroom) and they are praying that these 2 proceedures will get her past the 24th week..so your prayers are working.

Debbie, how did Shannon's tests go???

LOL at the toaster, yep, that I do and while jumping out of bed the bed get's made..Roger used to say he'd go for a pee and before he got back the bed was made..

I finally found the link to Brandon's last high school horse show. This is the drill team which is comprised of members from each team in his district. They only met four times before the show. Brandon is the whistle blower!!!!

Edited to add that they won first place in the state!!!!!

Oh Betty, they did the right thing. As said, two of my SIL's had their cervix sewn shut....and both were able to carry full term. Feels good
that the heartbeats are so strong. These babies need to get to a minimum of 30 weeks.....for optimal survival. 26 weeks can have such a long
struggle and spend 3 months on machines to breath and all that....so pray for at least 30 weeks! Closer she gets to 40 weeks full term the better.

Betty, I can't even begin to say how disappointed the doctors appointment left us. Although this doctor is "at the top" and highly recommended....
I thought she was a nutcase. My daughter is 22...more of a child than an adult....but....this woman was cold, no signs of compassion and off the
wall with her recommendations.

This woman "recommended" that Shannon have her uterus removed, so she didn't need birth control any more...because it is known to cause headaches
and health issues. WHAT? Yes, you read that right. Then, when told the medications Shannon had been on....and why she wasn't taking them...because
of the side effects (face numb, hands and lips tingling) she said "Did it get rid of your headaches.....thats what is important...you can live with the other".

Well, we left there and Shannon was in tears. We won't likely be going back. I wrote more of the drama over on Pets....but that is the jest of it all.

Barb....I know you and Norm are so proud of Brandon! Oh what a talented boy he is....love the horses!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks for posting the link Barb. Enjoyed watching very much.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks ladies regarding B. Yes, we are very proud of both he and Sean.....

Debbie I'm appalled at what you wrote!!! I would have her up on charges with someone that's for sure. They are supposed to "do no harm" and she sure did a lot of it.... Sounds like she got her license to practice from Sear's.

Lyndonville, NY

Barb, what shocks me, she is supposed to be the #1 rated in this field in NY State. Even over Strong!
This woman went on and on about Shannon having that removed...and when I said "I have 3 daughters, 2 already have
fertility issues...and I am not putting Shannon through that!" This woman says "OH so you will let her suffer so YOU can
have grandchildren?" OHHHH that lit a fire under me. Told her it was NOT my choice what my children did with their
lives....having children was THEIR business not mine....but would not let someone take the options of a 22 year old away
when she is too young to know what her future will hold for her.

OH they got me so so upset.

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG Debbie, and we put our lives in such 'quacks'
Are you going to contact the referral doctor to let them know what happened?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

You definitely should let the referring doctor know!!!! I would have been beyond mad!!! I can find no excuse for her!!!!!

Lyndonville, NY

Shannon said she was going to call him, or I will go to her next appointment with him and fill him in. She is 22...so I am limited
with what I can do with her doctors without her permission. Shannon is just stunned.

Tomorrow is the tonsil surgery...DH took day off to come with, so that makes me feel a bit better.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So sorry to hear that you got a quack Dr. Guess we have them in all States! Hope you file that complaint, and get to see another Dr. soon!

Barb, love the video! Looks like they all love the horses!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

That they do LK!!!! They take better care of the horses than they do themselves.....

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Barb, Brandon and the young ladies did a fantastic job...Big Congrats to them and their lovely ponies.

Debbie...The doc sounds like she got her training in the military.....she has that cold edge so many of them tend to acquire.....Good thoughts to Shannon....I would have a serious talk with Shannon's gynocologist....if the pill is strictly for birth control, then there are other measures....if for medical reasons, perhaps there are alternative meds available.

Good Morning Y'all

Lyndonville, NY

She isn't on the pill. She is on a nova ring...which changes monthly. This is the lowest "hormone" changing thing for her conditions. She isn't on it
for BC...just for controlling the monthly cycle or she would have it every 2 to 3 weeks. The pills caused other problems...gave her nausea like morning sickness
issues, among other issues.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lordy, really difficult for her, meds work one against the other..you must be exhausted today and worried about tomorrow. What time is the surgery tomorrow?

Lyndonville, NY

I won't know what time surgery is until this afternoon. The Center will call and give us time. WIth her being "older" I bet she is one of the last.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am in shock about the treatment you and Shannon received. That is just so unprofessional but sadly, there are those who are like that in every field. Sending hugs to the both of you and good luck with tomorrow.

We are having what you might call, a rain storm. Could be worse, we could be on the eastern side of this storm and get all the extra mess associated with it.

Lyndonville, NY

Marion, thank you. I saw the weather you have headed your way. Stay safe!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Although there were 5 or 6 drops this morning it isn't raining at present!!! maybe I'll get to cut grass tonight after all. Got to clean up all those mushroom molds I bought and put in back shed, would fill in the entire evening!

Debbie, nothing worse than being at the end of the day, gives you all day to fret.

Lyndonville, NY

We have been having downpours since 9:00 this morning, and right now it looks like a monsoon.

I don't like the fact she can't eat anything....won't be able to afterwards either for at least a week.
Doctor said she comes home after....I think she should at least be kept over night. BUT....will see.
The surgical center is just down the road from the hospital, so they can transport if the need be.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, please post pictures of your mushrooms?
Dennie, sure jope her survery goes quickly with no problems. She will be eating lots of soft things like Popsicles, soups...

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'm with you, one night wouldn't hurt especially seeing as she has so many medical issues. She couldn't be in better care though, she's got a mom who has the knowledge of a medical doctor and in some instances more, more than that quack you saw yesterday.

Don't send me your weather girls, we've had enough rain, need sunshine even if it's cooler temps.
