brand new and looking for help.

Hello everyone, my name is George and i have just taken a challenge, to care for my bosses yard (about 3 foot ball fields wide, and 3 foot ball fields long) i know big job for a beginner. i really don't want to kill her yard so, im asking for help please.

1) she has clovers all around the yard in spots.
2) i do not know what kind of grass she has.
3) she has a lot of seasonal flowers spread out all over the yard in many different flower beds.

in short, im doing a job that a professional would do but im not. this old marine needs some quick tips on doing this, please

Hi George....that sounds like an awful big bite you are chewing on. Below are some good general info links to help you get started. They should have most of the info necessary to maintain her lawn. As for the rest, take a few pictures of what is growing in the beds and then include specific questions pertaining to care. Also, what is the scope of what you need to do ie. mowing and weeding lawn and beds, watering, planting?

moonhowl asked the same ? I was going to...what jobs specifically were you going to be doing? Did she also want you to prune and deadhead the flowers?

Clover actually helps put Nitrogen back into the soil(did she want to get rid of it?)
