I'm trying to find what NVC Melampyrum pratense falls into and what soil type does it need, pH and Moisture also the SNR. does anybody know?
Melampyrum pratense

NVC codes for M. pratense are here http://www.ecoflora.co.uk/search_habitat.php?plant_no=1540270240
SNR - no idea what that would be for Melampyrum, from the areas in which it grows here I would say poor. It's not a popular plant for research.
Are you considering growing it? If so it's a hemiparasitic and I'm not sure about the host plant although a search suggests Pine species.
