What is this all over some of my grape leaves?

Columbia, VA(Zone 6b)

I noticed today that there are quite a few leaves with these rust colored spots on them. What is it, will it affect the grapes, and what can I do? Thanks!

Thanks. I think it is black rot. Now to figure out if there's anything I can do to stop it from spreading to the fruit.

What you have to do, wait and see. If infect your fruit make sure that you cut away any infected grape and avoid any mummie to fall to the ground and burnt, if this is possible any infected material or dispose properly.

If you cannot control it, you get a new plant and

The best of luck.

Should I snip all the infected leaves off the grape vine?

A lot of the disease problems with grapes appear to be caused by poor air circulation.
It seems healthy leaf pruning is often recommended in order to increase air circulation, so for sure remove all the infected leaves and destroy them. That should help keep it from spreading and increase the air circulation.

That is correct, the spores of the fungus are on those leaves,I you can, if in the same banch there are few leaves infected, prune the branch. If there is any fruit in that branch cut just pass the fruit and prune. Dispose well of the infected material.

I removed every single leaf that had brown spots on them. I plan on going out and snipping anymore that show signs of the fungus every day. Do you think there's any hope? Or should I just prune the whole thing down to the main branches and hope for the best next year???

I certainly think there is a good chance you will still make a great crop, I did not see that many leaves that looked bad. I don't see you have anything to lose by trying for a crop this year.

You may not have seen many in the picture, but there was. I filled an entire kitchen trash bag with leaves. I'll post a pic of what the vines look like now.
