Plant ID (possibly Musa?)

Valsolda, Italy(Zone 9b)

Hi,
I found about 15 of these sprouting at the back of my garden (zone 9b). They look like Musa, can anybody confirm? I never planted them and i only just noticed them yesterday.

Hi Sasha

Altagardener is right. You stand a much better chance of getting a positive ID if you post your query in the Plant ID forum. Here is the link for you

If you just moved into this place, then there may have been bananas or their relatives in that location last year, but they got frosted all the way down to the ground before you moved in. Now they are recovering from the roots.
Most of the Musas are too tender to grow in 9b, but I think there are some that might barely make it. I keep mine in the ground, but under a patio cover.
There are other plants with similar growth habits, and some of these may spread by seed, though root division is also more common.
There are several plants called Ginger, including the ginger we eat. Bird of Paradise looks a bit like that, though I think it is different enough that your plants are not BOP.
