Brand new to the gardening world. I planted a few vegetables in my back yard the other day and am so excited to watch them grow!
Anyway, I'm a big fan of peaches. I recently came across a peach / nectarine hybrid (Peacherine) and was curious to see if they can grow in Michigan?
Has anyone tried before? Is Michigan too cold?
Current weather outside is 73. In the summer we get pretty warm - upper 80's, sometimes even in the 90's.
I haven't found the seeds or tree yet in the area, but I'd like to give it a shot if I can come across a plant.
Let me know if you have any experience or advice!
Thanks :)
Jenn.
Peacherine? Peaches? Can they grow in Michigan?
Jenn,
I am not sure if you will be able to find tht hybrid but you should be able to grow peaches easily. Tree ripened peaches are unbelievable, both sweet and fragrant. I manage to gro thm in Nova Scotia.. zone 5b.
