Garlid and Ground Cherries

If I can find my envelope with ground cherry seeds in it (Silly child used it for a bookmark and now it cannot be found!!:( ), I was thinking of planting these in the area by our garlic. Is this a no-no? Last year, too late we discovered certain veggies should not be planted near garlic. We bought a companion gardening book, but it does not mention ground cherries.
