So I had a terrible aphids attack on one of my dwarf cherry trees. I did the soapy water spray and it seems to have done the job. But now the leaves on my poor tree look bad. Should I take them off or just leave them be since it's already May?????

I would leave them...any that are not viable will fall off on their own and the tree will replace them. The rest will continue to fed the tree.
