we had a great day yesterday.. went to a christmas light gathering.. came home with some great door prizes we can use in our display.. learned a lot of new things.. met a bunch of great people too.. perfect day!!

Great! You have to be one of the luckiest people I know!! Wanna buy me a mega-bucks ticket? LOL

wish I had that luck with the lottery... I was the 1st ticket pulled in the door prize.. they numbered the prizes and we pulled what prize we get.. I pulled 18.. for my birthday

yes especially as they need your e-mail address to sign in. I intentially put my wrong birth year & later deleted it. It deleted as far as the new accoung which people see, but facebook still has it for their records. Many of my friends are iris people in iris groups on fb. I joined because that is where the family posted their photos.

I purposely don't post anything significant on FB, but it is nice to wish people I don't see much a happy birthday and to find high school chums.

well, i am busy enjoying Robindog's hospitality here in CT. i will be here for who knows how long. Bless her heart. i dropped DS and a friend off in Kent, CT to get on the Appalachian Trail , then went on to meet RD. after i turned off my car, wouldn.t you know it?!!! it wouldn't start. on a weekend no less. so tomorrow morning i will be on the phone to find a mechanic to test it. oh, a guy in a store tried to jump it and it wouldn't work. needless to say, it is probably the battery (original one) maybe alternator. who knows. so i am relying on Marilyn's graciousness. i am sooo thankful for her hospitality. my take on it is that i missed being in a bad accident on the way home. that is the reason for the delay. anyway, i am enjoying Marilyn and Suey. jan

Jan is the perfect houseguest.....not demanding, & brought a wonderful strawberry-rhubarb pie! Unfortunately, Jan's car broke down in Cornwall......absolute boonies! Hope we can get a tow tomorrow!

Jan was able to get on her way at 2:45 this afternoon.....hoping she gets home safely & was not impacted by the storms which rolled into my county at about 4......We had a lovely visit, she even let me win at Scrabble......We went for ice cream yesterday & were sitting outside when a bee flew down the back of my shirt! Three stings......swollen & red today :>(

She really let out a yell. I thought I had kicked her at first!! Yes, meant to be. Don't believe that I LET her win. She is sharp!!! It really was a very pleasant break!!

I did have to pullover a couple times when it was raining so hard. I knew I was going to get into rush hour traffic, so I called my brother and had a visit with him over dinner to allow people to clear the roads some. Got in around 9 pm.

If anyone gets car trouble in NW Conn. Use Hall's garage in West Cornwall. Extremely reasonable fees.

All that rain yesterday and nothing here. I need to water.

My son's house is about 7 minutes from Hall's Garage....he never heard of it....really tucked into the woods!

saw a litter of fox kittens today - about 5 of them - very cool - they are by the parking lot at work, looks like they are in a culvert - will bring camera tomorrow

I've been fighting with a big healthy Mama fox....she wants mine & the neighbors chickens so she can feed her kitts!

That stinks Celeste. I had one last year I chased several times. My niece lost her entire flock from a mama.

I chased it 2 times on Sunday, waving my hands in the air yelling like a mad women! Sheesh, the things you see in the country!!! LOL

Some neighbors are nasty....poor man needs his bird feeders! I'm not happy that my neighbors feed the deer & turkeys, but I would never tell them....Bill, the fox kits sound cute.......saw a coyote the other day....crossed the road in front of me in broad daylight....

He should try a different type of feeder which will attract some different ground feeding birds, not peanuts. Other than that the ordinance is stupid. it't not like he was putting out yards of food. Stupid blue jays can't pick up after themselves.
